Job Overview

The Boeing Company is a leading aerospace and defense organization seeking an experienced Financial Planning Specialist. This role will involve developing cost forecasts, financial reporting, and estimate at completion for our Sustainment Operations Business Unit.

About the Role

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze cost performance and make recommendations for impacts and actions. You will also be responsible for implementing baseline changes into the financial system, variance reporting, and pricing of minor contract change proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Cost Forecasts: Create accurate and reliable cost forecasts to support business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Estimate at Completion: Develop and maintain estimates at completion for projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Implement Baseline Changes: Effectively implement baseline changes into the financial system, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Variance Reporting: Analyze and report on variances in cost and schedule performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Pricing of Contract Change Proposals: Accurately price minor contract change proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or commerce, or equivalent experience in the workforce.
  • Relevant experience in project accounting, management accounting, or cost control roles.
  • Experience with cost forecasting, variance reporting, and estimates at completion.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, including Deltek COBRA.
  • Australian citizenship required due to defense security requirements.
