About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Samaritans, a leading Christian presence in the Hunter and Central Coast region. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support to adults, children, and young people with complex needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide OT assessment and intervention to adults, children, and young people with complex needs and disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans that promote participation and inclusion in community and school settings.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the inclusion of all people.
  • Prioritize workloads and manage clients with complex needs, demonstrating a commitment to Continuing Professional Development and Evidenced-Based Practice.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Membership with AHPRA as a registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing OT services to NDIS Participants, including experience of working with adults and children.
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Drivers licence.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing workloads and managing clients with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development, Evidenced-Based Practice, and measuring clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to work as a collaboratively member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.
