We are seeking an experienced APS6 Case Manager to join our team in Geelong. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex case management activities, resolving matters through case management of AAT applications, and managing complex AAT matters.
About the RoleThis is a 6-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend. You will be working with a Federal Government Agency in the heart of Geelong, and will have the opportunity to progress your career with this organization.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake end-to-end case management activities, subject to appropriate line manager input and oversight.
- Resolve matters through case management of AAT applications related to reviewable decisions and access decisions.
- Manage complex AAT matters, analysing and developing options for early resolution.
- Obtain necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters.
- Apply alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills to resolve applications/reviews, in accordance with model litigant principles.
- Attend Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings conducted by the AAT.
- Prepare documents detailing resolution options and outcomes for Case Management meetings.
- Assess and respond to priorities and risks, including risks to participants, Scheme sustainability, and the organisation.
- Prepare and maintain electronic records, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.
- Demonstrated experience in case management, particularly in complex and sensitive cases.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS Act 2013 and related legislation.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to exercise initiative and judgement in interpreting information, legislation and policy.
- Experience in strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development.
- Proficiency in electronic record-keeping and documentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the NDIS and support for people with disabilities.
