Geospatial Data Analyst Role
A successful Geospatial Data Analyst will contribute to the delivery of expert services in various fields by leveraging spatial data processing, capture, and audit tasks for asset management projects.
This role involves extracting pertinent spatial data from client databases and manipulating it using ETL processes to suit project requirements. The ideal candidate will adhere to data processing workflows and quality control frameworks while identifying opportunities for improvement.
The key responsibilities include producing high-quality cartographic figures and providing regular reporting to team leaders and project managers. Additionally, this position requires general GIS support and technical services across the business.
- Tertiary qualification in a related spatial discipline or relevant technical skills and experience are required.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or QGIS is necessary.
- Spatial data management, analysis, and geoprocessing experience are essential.
- An understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system is also required.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of FME, Python scripting, field data capture technology, consulting environments, different coordinate systems, and projections. This expertise will enable them to deliver exceptional results in a dynamic environment.
