As a Graduate Mental Health Nurse, you will provide direct mental health nursing care to consumers in a designated practice setting.

Job Description

This role involves working with the support and supervision of a designated preceptor, under the accountability of the Nurse Unit Manager. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, individual case management, and education, counseling, and group work to achieve optimum consumer health and recovery.

You will also consult and liaise with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to ensure effective service delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification with a current practising certificate
  • Enrolled or undertaking studies toward a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
