About the Role

Mackay Sugar is seeking a skilled Electrical Trades Assistant to join our team at Racecourse Mill. As a key member of our Electrical Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Electrical Leading Hand in service delivery and maintenance tasks
  • Perform electrical test and tag, filter cleaning, and EWP operation and spotting
  • Conduct confined space activities and workshop and equipment cleaning
  • Prepare job packs and perform general mill work as required
Requirements
  • Hold or have the ability to gain confined spaces, working at heights, hot work, EWP < 11M, HRWL Forklift (LF), and Electrical Test and Tag Certificate qualifications
  • Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • HRWL - Dogger (DG), Forklift (LF), Basic Rigger (RB)
  • Asbestos Removal Class B Certificate
