Job Description:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in restaurant management, particularly in high-volume operations;
  • An infectious passion for delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism;
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Schnitz, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations;
  • Enhancing guest satisfaction by identifying operational shortfalls and implementing corrective actions;
  • Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard;
  • Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers;
  • Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, and cash handling;
  • Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room, and general restaurant;
  • Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld;
  • Meeting restaurant financial objectives.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Leadership experience in hospitality;
  • A love of food and focus on exceptional customer service;
  • A constructive, positive, and considerate communicator;
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management, and attention to detail;
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure;
  • Ability to work a flexible rotating roster including evenings/weekends;
  • Passion about building a positive culture within the restaurant – making Schnitz an enjoyable place to work.

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
