The Opportunity


Monash University is seeking a highly skilled Associate Lawyer to join the Research and Education team within the Office of the General Counsel for a 12-month period.


As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and administering the delivery of a high-quality program of legal services, including drafting documentation, contracts, and agreements, reviewing legal documents for accuracy and completeness, and managing approval requirements according to University statutes and delegations.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Coordinating and administering the delivery of a high-quality program of legal services
  • Providing expert and authoritative advice and guidance to clients
  • Undertaking research, analyzing results, investigating options, and providing recommended solutions to complex administrative procedures
  • Contributing to operational planning by sharing knowledge and expertise

About You


To be successful in this role, you will have a Law degree, a current practicing certificate, and demonstrated legal experience with a track record of providing high-quality legal services.
