Are you passionate about pursuing a career in finance? Look no further than our Indigenous Affirmative Measure program, designed to provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduates to launch their careers in the Australian Government's Treasury department.

About the Program
  • This program offers a unique chance to work on policies that shape the future of Australia, gain exposure to various areas of the department, and develop rewarding career opportunities.
  • You'll have the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact the lives of Australians, and be part of a team committed to making a positive difference.

The program is open to all university students who have graduated in the last 5 years. To be eligible, you must be a person of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage, an Australian citizen (or become one by December 2026), hold an Australian-recognised undergraduate qualification completed within the last 5 years, and be willing to move to Canberra for the program duration or travel to Canberra for development activities if placed in our Sydney or Melbourne offices.

Key Requirements
  • Australian citizenship (or become an Australian citizen by December 2026)
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • Australian-recognised undergraduate qualification (bachelor's degree or higher) completed within the last 5 years
  • Ability to relocate to Canberra for the program duration or participate in development activities from Sydney or Melbourne offices
