At Georgiou, we are delivering the Centenary Bridge Upgrade project in Queensland, Australia.

A high-performing Project Environmental Manager is sought to join our team on this wide-ranging infrastructure project.

This key role ensures effective onsite implementation of environmental and sustainability management requirements. Key duties include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive Project Construction Environmental Management Plan, including procedures and systems to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Reviewing and improving onsite environmental systems and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Developing, maintaining and supporting the Environment and Sustainability Management plan, processes and system elements.
  • Providing expert advice on environmental aspects such as erosion and sediment control, ecology, waste management, noise and vibration.
  • Managing environmental permits and approvals, and ensuring the project team is aware of legal compliance requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, clients and community groups.
  • Educating the project team on environmental requirements and expectations.
  • Recording and reporting all relevant environmental data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the project complies with HSEQ systems, policies, standards and procedures.
