Fleet Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to lead our company's vehicle fleet operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily vehicle management across multiple sites, ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and cost-effective.
This role is critical in streamlining our fleet operations, reducing downtime, and improving overall efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the daily operation of company vehicles across multiple sites.
- Implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Managing vendor relationships for fuel, repairs, leasing, and servicing.
- Maintaining compliance with state and local transportation, insurance, and safety regulations.
- Tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize fleet operations.
- Leveraging technology to enhance fleet management, including fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
