About the Role
As a Senior Shift Supervisor, you will lead the waste and recycling facility team, overseeing operations, recycling, and retail functions to meet Endeavour's contractual and commercial objectives. You will play a key role in promoting safety, ensuring excellent customer service, supporting employee development, and optimizing facility performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing training and assistance to team members to ensure optimal service standards and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Understanding recycling operations, recognizing recyclable items, and embracing the need to reduce landfill.
- Liaising with the Recycling Manager to assist contractors, external suppliers, and government representatives as needed to ensure their requests are met.
- Ensuring compliance with quality management systems, policies, and continuous improvement processes to maintain high standards and drive operational efficiency.
- Managing traffic, environmental, and safety plans at the local level to ensure staff operate within required boundaries and maintain a safe workplace.
- Developing and managing staff rosters to ensure resource availability aligns with business needs.
- Documenting activities accurately and maintaining accounting information for a reliable audit trail and efficient record-keeping.
- Overseeing cash handling procedures to ensure adherence to best practices for accurate and secure transactions.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Asset Management (Waste Management) or willingness to obtain.
- Supervisory experience in a recycling or similar environment where contractual requirements are met, leading a team to achieve targets.
- Experience in an operational role focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer service excellence.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team, manager, and customers.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and alternating weekends for escalations.
