Role Overview
We are seeking volunteers to join our retail team in a dynamic and rewarding role. As a Red Cross Shop volunteer, you will be part of a diverse team working together to provide excellent customer service, process donations, and create engaging store displays.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming and engaging customers, processing transactions through point of sale, sorting and pricing donations, creating vibrant displays, and maintaining a clean and tidy shop environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and engaging customers to provide an excellent shopping experience
- Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
- Sorting and pricing donations to ensure high-quality items are available for sale
- Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers and promote sales
- Maintaining a clean and tidy shop environment, adhering to all health and safety standards
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a friendly and positive attitude, be sociable and engaging with others, happy to work as part of a team, flexible, and willing to do any of the shop tasks. You must also be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16) and commit to your nominated shift.
