Senior Manager, Risk Management Strategy and Regulatory Affairs

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Risk Management Strategy and Regulatory Affairs to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our Risk Management Framework and Strategy (RMFS).
This is a highly visible role in the business, requiring strong leadership and collaboration skills to deliver core enablers, including governance, risk culture, and industry body and regulatory engagements. You will also be responsible for overseeing our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the strategic development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of Cuscal's RMFS to enable effective risk management and support the achievement of our corporate objectives.
- Coordinate the implementation of strategic and emerging risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to identify and manage material risks.
- Support the design, establishment, and ongoing review of the RMFS governance structures.
- Monitor adherence to the ESG framework and coordinate related reporting.
- Act as Cuscal's primary contact for regulators and ensure all interactions meet policy standards with accurate and timely record keeping.
- Build and lead an internal community to facilitate consultation, feedback, and knowledge sharing on matters relating to policy setting and reviews, regulatory change, and emerging risks.
- Provide effective review and challenge as part of participation in the decision-making process, ensuring that material decisions are risk-based and risk frameworks support effective decision-making.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., law, finance, business, audit).
- Demonstrated experience in compliance management within the finance and banking industry.
- Sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, and prudential requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in operational risk and compliance roles, including the design and implementation of effective risk and compliance management frameworks, and a sound knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
- Strong change management, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage projects from initiation through to completion across multiple projects while meeting deadlines and managing a high-volume workload of often-changing priorities.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
