Optical Dispenser Position

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Optical Dispenser to join our team. As an Optical Dispenser, you will play a critical role in enabling us to fulfill our purpose by providing exceptional customer service and consulting with customers to ensure they receive the best advice and solutions for their optical needs.

Maintaining beautifully presented and well-stocked optical stores, ensuring customers feel welcome and enjoy their experience is also a key part of this position.

Demonstrating the value of National Pharmacies membership to customers is another important aspect of this role.

  • Confidence in delivering outstanding customer service and advice to diverse customers with varying optical needs.
  • A methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • A flair for fashion and helping customers choose frames that suit them.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to its success.
  • Willingness to continue learning about products and services offered by Optical by National Pharmacies.

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Knowledge and experience interpreting optical prescriptions.
  • Experience selecting and fitting optical frames for people with different lifestyles and physical needs.
  • The ability to ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient jobs, lenses, and contact lens orders, as well as ordering frames and sundry items.
  • Knowledge of frame selection related to optical prescriptions.
  • Successful experience adjusting and repairing frames.
  • A Certificate 4 in Optical Dispensing, and previous exposure to Optomate software is highly regarded.
