About the Role

Are you passionate about solving complex environmental challenges? We are seeking an Associate Hydrogeologist/Hydrogeochemist to join our team of expert hydrogeologists in Melbourne, Geelong or Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of projects and clients, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will have the chance to collaborate with industry leaders, develop your skills and experience, and contribute to the development of innovative approaches and solutions in hydrogeology and contaminated land assessment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and interpretation of groundwater investigations and monitoring programs, delivering hydrogeological risk assessments and conceptual site models, and providing technical direction on groundwater fate and transport modelling, including contaminant behaviour.

You will also be required to review and prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals, engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to ensure project success, and mentor and support junior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists within the team.

  • Lead the design, implementation and interpretation of groundwater investigations and monitoring programs.
  • Deliver hydrogeological risk assessments and conceptual site models for contaminated land and remediation projects.
  • Provide technical direction on groundwater fate and transport modelling, including contaminant behaviour.
  • Review and prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals.
  • Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and support junior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualified in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related discipline, with strong communication, report writing and project management skills. A minimum of 8 years' professional experience in contaminated land and groundwater projects, ideally within a consultancy environment, is required.
