Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Hotel Services Department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring residents and guests enjoy high-quality, nutritious food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, adhering to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Manager, Chef, and Cook to plan a well-balanced, healthy, and fresh menu.
  • Complete food orders within allocated budgets and timescales for deliveries.
  • Stay up-to-date with residents' needs, following their dietary requirements and preferences.
Requirements
  • Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
  • Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged care setting or hotel environment.
  • Flexibility in adapting to a changing roster.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities.
