About the Role

This role is for a skilled and enthusiastic electrical technician to join our service team. The successful candidate must hold a recognized Australian trade certificate and be committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled service and reactive maintenance on wind turbines as required
  • Respond to site calls outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
  • Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition
  • Operate within the limits of training and authorization, including the operation of high-voltage and low-voltage systems
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment, and adheres to work methods
  • Complete site inductions and adhere to the requirements of the Service Maintenance Agreement
  • Comply with occupational health and safety legislation and demonstrate a commitment to accident prevention
  • Observe all work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, and employer requirements
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Participate in safety meetings and other relevant discussions
  • Perform other duties within competence, skill, qualifications, and experience as directed

Qualifications:

  • A-Grade Electrical license
  • Full clean driving license

Competencies:

  • Literate with PC and modern technologies to support daily work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for fault-finding and maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems
  • Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industry
  • Understanding of safety principles and a willingness to adhere to and drive safety compliance
  • Experience with high-voltage, low-voltage, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
  • Proficient in the use of various hand tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team
  • Ability to work at heights in confined environments
