The role combines being a College Organist and an Organ Teacher, two positions that can be separated depending on the successful candidate. The College Organist/ Organ Teacher will support the Jesuit Education characteristics through their manner and personal concern for the care of each individual on campus and across the Xavier Family.

**College Organist Role:**

The position of College Organist is integral to the faith and worship life of Xavier College, serving the musical needs of all key liturgies. It involves working with a team of passionate educators committed to contemporary approaches to faith, learning, and inspiring music across the college.

The successful candidate should have a high level of skill as a church organist, be able to work well under pressure, and manage several competing demands. They should also have excellent organisational and communication skills.

**Organ Teacher Role:**

The Organ Teacher will play an important role in teaching music and developing the organ program across the college. The ideal candidate should be a highly capable musician, have excellent motivational skills, and show commitment to inspiring appreciation and developing musical skills in students.

The estimated annual salary for this role is **$80,000-$120,000**, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
