Executive Director, Healthcare Legal

The Executive Director, Healthcare Legal will serve as the primary healthcare attorney for Vera's Commercial functions. This role will report to the SVP, Legal, Healthcare/Commercial Law, Compliance, & Operations.

This position is responsible for advising the commercial team members and partners with them on business strategies and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of U.S. and global healthcare laws and regulations.

This individual will also be responsible for reviewing and negotiating commercial and market access-related agreements, and providing value-added legal and business insight to evaluate and mitigate risks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in California (CA RIHC license acceptable)
  • Minimum 10–12 years of directly relevant healthcare law experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and global healthcare laws and regulations

The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on factors including geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $280,000 - $297,000 USD.

Ability to commute to the Brisbane office at least one day a week is preferred; qualified remote candidates will be considered.
