Airworthiness and Compliance Specialist

We are MAF, a Christian organisation that utilises aviation and technology to provide assistance and hope to underdeveloped communities around the world.

Founded in 1945, MAF currently serves in 31 countries, with 116 aircraft providing vital transportation services to medical personnel, development workers, and aid organisations across the globe.

The organisation also delivers Bibles, church materials, and other resources to communities with limited access to Christian teaching and worship services.

• Maintain and ensure the effective running of the Quality and Safety Management Systems within the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO)
• Develop and implement quality and safety policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with industry regulations and best practices
• Oversee and encourage participation in the quality and safety management systems
• Analyse data and trends to pro-actively identify areas for improvement
• Monitor compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards
• Promote a positive safety culture by training, coaching and educating staff
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and hazards
• Conduct investigations of quality and safety incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective measures

• Meet or be prepared to meet CASA requirements for this role
• Worked within a Quality and/or Safety Management system
• An experienced aircraft maintenance engineer
• Previous experience within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation

• An ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License
• Further education ie degree or equivalent in any field
• Experience in Quality and/or Safety Managements systems
• Training in root cause analysis, incident investigation techniques and post-accident actions and auditing
• Training in continuous improvement and lean processes
