Building Design Expert Leader

Are you a seasoned expert in building design looking to take your skills to the next level?

About the Role

This Senior Building Design position is perfect for someone with extensive experience in structural engineering consultancy. You will be responsible for managing and delivering complex building projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project designs, detailed calculations, documentation, and contract administration
  • Liaise with internal multidisciplinary teams, external architects, clients, and contractors
  • Prepare sketches and calculations in support of design concepts
  • Attend internal and external project design meetings
  • Conduct site inspections and reports
  • Mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of the Structural team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Demonstrated structural design experience of buildings, ideally in engineering consultancy
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Proficiency in structural software such as RAM Concept, SpaceGass, and ETABS
  • Knowledge of building stability analysis and corresponding detailing
  • Knowledge and capability across post-tensioned and reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong interpersonal skills
