Diesel Mechanic

About the Role

The McMahon Services team is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Heavy Vehicle Division. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintenance of heavy plant and machinery, including earthmoving equipment and trucks
• Pre-job planning and communication with site supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
• Scheduling and prioritization of allocated workload to meet deadlines
• Repair and maintenance of complex mechanical systems, with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems
• Assistance with specialist equipment builds and upgrades

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Tradesman, preferably in a heavy vehicle or mining environment
• Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
• A current driver's license (MR/HR preferred)
• A White Card with mining experience desired
• Field service experience and previous experience in the mining industry preferred
• A hands-on attitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
