Job Overview

We are seeking experienced logistics professionals to join our yard operations team.

This is a permanent, waged role with opportunities for career growth and development in a rapidly growing sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt, handling, control, pick and dispatch of goods and materials within our shipyard environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading of steel plate and beams
  • Forklift, jib & Gantry Crane Operations
  • Input and upkeep of data within relevant ERP systems
  • Maintaining traceability of goods through application of business policies and procedures
  • Daily interaction with operators - material delivery to Shipyard drop zones
  • Maintaining 100% material inventory accuracy, tools and equipment
  • Continuously improving teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area

About You

  • A background in heavy industry or engineering is desirable
  • Holding a Dogging or Rigging Ticket is essential
  • Previous experience with Gantry Cranes is highly valued
  • A Heavy Vehicle Licence is required
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is beneficial
  • A strong focus on safety and enhancing the site safety environment

Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance are essential.
