Operations Courier Job

We are seeking an Operations Courier to join our team. This role requires the safe transportation of road freight using the most cost-effective route while providing exceptional customer service to customers.

This is a challenging and rewarding position that involves delivering and picking up packages across metropolitan and regional areas. As an Operations Courier, you will be responsible for organising outbound freight by planning route schedules and inspecting packages and validating package labels. You will also need to record and notify management of any faulty packaging or damaged items, and utilise appropriate equipment to load and unload vehicles.

Safeguarding freight to prevent movement during transit and adhering to punctual completion of runs are essential aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be required to obtain recipient signature and deliver superior customer service during all interactions. Ensuring proper handling and security measures for all packages, as well as addressing delivery challenges such as damaged items or inaccessible delivery locations, are also key responsibilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
  • A valid driver's license for a two-axle rigid vehicle.
  • A good driving record.
  • Proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
