English Faculty Leader

The successful applicant will lead a dynamic team of educators within the English faculty, supporting assessment, reporting, and data management requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dynamic team of educators within the English faculty.
  • Be organised, collegial and possess good communication skills in order to effectively coordinate the English faculty.
  • Support assessment, reporting, data management and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of English and the factors that influence learning and development.
  • Effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning.
  • A preparedness to learn and implement the pedagogies used within the school that focus on Explicit Teaching within an inquiry framework.
  • Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning.

This position involves working with children.
