Job Title: Aluminium Die Designer

This is a challenging role that requires a skilled and experienced individual to design aluminium extrusion dies. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating dies that meet the required specifications and ensure optimal production performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop aluminium extrusion dies using CAD software.
  • Liaise with customers and production teams to ensure die performance meets customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve die design and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with customers to support die correction and troubleshooting.
  • Support the application of process improvement techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualified Toolmaker or Machinist.
  • Knowledge of current techniques and practices in die design for solid and hollow dies.
  • Experience in die design and development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make logical and well-reasoned decisions.
  • Accurate interpretation and working with technical detail.
  • Understanding of the importance of quality to the business and attention to detail.
