MCS Civil is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their Rutherford, NSW office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting and financial management functions.

Job Description
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage the company's accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of the company's annual budget and monitor budget performance.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management on strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's accounting and financial processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA qualification.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar management accounting or financial control role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using Xero accounting software, with strong / advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft products.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
