About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Westpac Institutional Banking. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our digital transformation strategy, specifically the Westpac One platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements for the Westpac One platform
  • Design business processes to meet project requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Construct the business case and benefits realisation plan, analysing the proposed solution to deliver the desired business outcome and associated project costs
  • Manage the development of detailed Business Requirements, Business Process Specifications and/or System Functional/Non-Functional Specifications
  • Review and revise documentation considering any new information and/or changes to initial assumptions
  • Support testing, training and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of the overall business and technology solutions
  • Ensure that risks (project and operations) are managed in accordance with set risk frameworks
  • Prepare business impact and risk assessments for the proposed change and/or recommended business solution
  • Facilitate challenging discussions in relation to risk with the Project Manager, and relevant stakeholders
  • Identify stakeholders, developing and maintaining collaborative working relations within your immediate team as well as cross-divisional
  • Lead smaller teams in eliciting and analysing business requirements
  • Lead regular status reporting as it relates to the project including progress and risks
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or as a Senior/Business Analyst and involved in the delivery of digital and complex programs of work within a financial services organisation
  • Expert in agile project processes and tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Experience managing and meeting priorities across more than one program at a time
  • Self-starter and the ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Experience applying a risk mindset and commercial acumen
  • Good communication and influencing skills in managing significant expectations amongst diverse stakeholders
  • Previous client interaction/relationship management experience is beneficial
