Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Healthscope. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation and regulations.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety through adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care.
  • Proactively assess and evaluate nursing care to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • 2 years' postgraduate experience as a Scrub/Scout Nurse.
  • Working with Children check (if relevant).
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic computer skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post-Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).
  • Experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
