Job Role Overview

The Test Analyst position is a key role within the IT Service and Quality Management team, responsible for ensuring effective strategies are in place for delivering business and technology outcomes.

This broad discipline requires testers to bring different strengths and a mix of required skills, with an ability to learn new skills on the job.

All testers must demonstrate core capabilities, including test strategy definition, effective coverage, and collaboration with teams and technology.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver software testing experience in various environments, requiring flexibility of approach.
  • Work with non-testers (e.g. business users, developers, support teams) to deliver testing, facilitating and/or coordinating testing and test design for small to medium teams or projects.
  • Apply various test strategies and techniques (e.g. exploratory test management, tool-assisted, code-driven, delegation/coaching, statistical/heuristic).
  • Demonstrate customer focus bias by delivering improvements to quality-related outcomes at the team level (or broader), directly and through influencing others.
Key Requirements
  • Software testing experience in various environments requiring flexibility of approach.
  • Ability to form and articulate a clear approach when faced with uncertainty.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with project and application team members and stakeholders as well as vendors and system integrators.
