At Greenfield Technical Services, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering, with expertise in project management and leadership. They will have excellent technical knowledge and be able to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Job Description

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading civil engineering projects, leveraging your technical knowledge and professional communication skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Lead civil engineering projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Manage project budgets and cash flow, taking action to address deviations from planned expenditure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

• Identify business opportunities and contribute to the development of strategic plans.

• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues as required.

• Participate in performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Civil Engineer in a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of key software packages (AutoCAD, 12d road design).
  • Membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Visual Road Condition Assessment knowledge and experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in managing civil construction contracts, e.g. AS2124, AS4000 or similar.
