Job Title: Business Development Representative

Slalom is growing again We're seeking a skilled Business Development Representative with deep Public Sector connections to expand our footprint in Canberra.

This role involves serving clients as a trusted partner, building and executing customized business plans and predictable sales engagement processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a people-first, client-focused corporate culture and is passionate about identifying new opportunities to grow the Slalom brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive activity in partnership with account and practice teams, working closely with the Slalom Technology partners.
  2. Work with new and existing clients to build a pipeline and secure new long-term accounts and relationships for Slalom.
  3. Meet with a broad set of buyers within a territory to learn more about client initiatives and represent Slalom capabilities.
  4. Create and sustain a diverse book of business among offerings and accounts.
  5. Leverage Slalom Sales platforms to drive a forward-looking forecast while collaborating with Account and Practice leaders.
  6. May focus on specific practices while working to lead Alliance relationships.
  7. Get to know our consultants and work with them to leverage their networks to identify opportunities.
  8. Play a leading role in new and identified accounts.
  9. Host and facilitate Slalom marketing events.
  10. Act as a primary liaison with some of our client's most senior executives.
  11. Mentor other sellers within the market, including the sales, account, partner, and practice teams.

Requirements:

  • A passion for sales and technology, collaborating with clients and alliance partners to ensure growth for their business.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience within Professional Services.
  • Proven experience in creating, managing, and executing a complete sales cycle.
  • The ability to work in ambiguity and thrive in creating and establishing new contacts and opportunities for Slalom and local networks.
  • A strong relationship focus with process orientation, coupled with an ability to work with virtual and in-person teams.
  • Budget and deal management experience, including relationship management, scoping, solutioning, pricing, and contracting of new engagements.
  • Experience in building relationships across the business, including CXOs and business decision-makers.
  • Skill in leading teams through complex technology solution sales.
  • Ability to align teams to work toward a common goal, demonstrating strong people and financial management skills.
  • Creativity and innovation, seen as forward-thinking in approach while collaborating and delivering as part of a team.
  • A self-starter with a desire to work within a dynamic team of professional services specialists, leading, participating, and supporting as required by the opportunity.

Work Arrangement:

We are hybrid, but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you to be onsite, you are able to meet those expectations/requirements.
