Job Description

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will play a key role in overseeing environmental and regulatory compliance, managing our Environmental Management Framework, and advising on regulatory frameworks and identifying risks, challenges, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and oversee environmental databases, registers, licenses, and documentation to ensure accurate records and compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to non-compliance and regulatory breaches through proactive monitoring and analysis.
  • Guide site teams on best practice and improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead internal environmental committees and reporting cycles to foster collaboration and transparency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies to stay informed about changing regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field with a focus on sustainability and compliance.
  • Extensive experience navigating environmental legislation and compliance frameworks, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage complex projects and teams.
  • Aquaculture experience is highly desirable, but not required for this position.
