We're seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our global headquarters at Macquarie University. As a key member of our Process Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across our network for both new and commercially available products.

About the Role:
  • Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes within Cochlear and its suppliers to ensure high-quality products.
  • Support supply chain and R&D groups by developing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet regulatory requirements and international standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Cochlear's Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant regulations, such as ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
  • Promote process improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless project execution and on-time delivery.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document stable and reliable manufacturing processes, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and R&D teams to execute projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Evaluate and implement risk management methodologies to minimize potential risks and optimize process efficiency.
  • Validate and verify manufacturing processes to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
What You'll Bring:
  • A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar engineering role, preferably within a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in process development, mechanical design, or product introduction, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, validation, and verification procedures.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $120,000-$150,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.
