Manufacturing Process Specialist

We're seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our global headquarters at Macquarie University. As a key member of our Process Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across our network for both new and commercially available products.
About the Role:- Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes within Cochlear and its suppliers to ensure high-quality products.
- Support supply chain and R&D groups by developing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet regulatory requirements and international standards.
- Ensure compliance with Cochlear's Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant regulations, such as ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
- Promote process improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless project execution and on-time delivery.
- Develop and document stable and reliable manufacturing processes, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and R&D teams to execute projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
- Evaluate and implement risk management methodologies to minimize potential risks and optimize process efficiency.
- Validate and verify manufacturing processes to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar engineering role, preferably within a highly regulated industry.
- Experience in process development, mechanical design, or product introduction, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs.
- Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, validation, and verification procedures.
The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $120,000-$150,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.
