The NDIS Groups and Activities Facilitator will be responsible for delivering centre-based, community-based groups, and 1:1 activities.

  • Work in a supportive team environment
  • Casual on-call shifts at Northmead near Parramatta
  • Monday to Friday shifts between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM with variable start and finish times
  • Support adults experiencing mental health issues in group settings

Uniting Recovery's NDIS Program:

Supports NDIS participants with severe and persistent mental health issues. Assists participants in developing capacity and resilience to undertake life tasks independently and achieve their lifetime goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate groups and 1:1 activities focusing on developing social or basic living skills. Provide high-quality group-based activities for NDIS participants. Ensure continuing improvement of services by participating in quality improvement processes to ensure best practice. Certificate IV or equivalent in Community Services, Mental Health, or related field required.

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating group-based social and basic living skill activities for adults with a lived experience of severe and complex mental health problems
  • Ability to engage with participants with strong group facilitation skills
  • Understanding of the recovery model and how it applies to adults experiencing severe and complex mental health problems
  • Unrestricted Driver's License and access to your own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
