Legal Counselor Role

Overview of the Position:

This role involves providing high-quality legal services to clients in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Providing legal representation to clients in Family Law proceedings, including cases related to Child Protection and Domestic Violence.

2. Assisting with casework and providing expert advice to clients and external stakeholders.

3. Collaborating with the Principal Legal Officer and Director of Family Law to achieve common goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Admission as a Legal Practitioner within the State of Queensland or eligibility for immediate acquisition of a current Practising Certificate.

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

3. Experience with Microsoft Office technology and an understanding of legal databases and shared internet-based calendars.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to assist in the development of other staff training/education.
