The Forensic Mental Health in Community Health (FMHiCH) Program is a comprehensive mental health and broader health evidence-informed service, aiming to assist eligible individuals to access the mental health care they need and enable them to satisfy the requirement of their Mental Health and Treatment Rehabilitation (MHTR) condition while reducing their recidivism risk.

About the Role

The Forensic Mental Health in Aboriginal Clinician will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and will support the Team Leader and Manager in the deliverance of the Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) participants on a Corrections Order or parole.

The role will be responsible for a range of clinical services including treatment coordination, intake, mental state examinations, risk assessments, care planning, case management and discharge planning.

This position will uphold Monash Health's purpose and values, being open to change and development in line with organizational strategic plans.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have qualifications and experience in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues and the ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
