Cybersecurity Expert

Our organization is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cybersecurity services, including governance, risk, and compliance activities, and cyber operations.

Duties Include:
  • We are looking for someone who can analyse Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and associated security systems to identify irregularities and minimise risk.
  • The ideal candidate will prepare risk assessments in line with government requirements.
  • This role involves monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
  • Auditing and tuning security measures and tools to optimise efficiency is a key aspect of the job.
  • We require a candidate who can conduct independent research, analysis, and reporting on security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintaining policies, procedures, and registers is also an important part of this role.
  • The Cybersecurity Expert will engage with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives to gather and synthesise information.
  • This position requires collaboration as part of a small, high-performing team.
  • The successful candidate will take responsibility for their own outcomes, monitor progress, and deliver quality results.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory.
  • A Security clearance - Negative Vetting Level 1 is required.
