We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at MedCentral GP Clinic in Darwin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Providing adult and childhood immunisations
- Assisting with care plans and supporting nursing students
- Supporting doctors in caring for patients in the treatment room, and assisting in emergencies
- Assisting doctors in procedures i.e. biopsies and any other procedures
- Providing assistance to reception staff as required
- Current registration, as a Registered Nurse, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 1 year experience in general practice or primary health care setting, graduates considered.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, and ability to work autonomously and as a strong team player
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing including patient education and health promotion
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment, drugs and care plans
- Current Police History Check, NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Current CPR and Immunisation Certificate
