About the Role

Xe is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our Compliance framework is aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the development and implementation of Compliance Assurance and Financial Crime Compliance programs to ensure Xe's products and services are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  2. Review reports from the Compliance Operations team to ensure timely review of transaction monitoring alerts, submission of SMRs and other reports or filings within regulatory timeframes.
  3. Support the Head of Compliance and AML Compliance Officer in managing regulatory examinations and Independent Reviews.
  4. Provide support in responding to regulatory consumer complaints, bank requests for information, and due diligence questionnaires.
  5. Contribute to the review and update of policies, procedures, and compliance training, coordinating with the Compliance Operations team on implementation.
  6. Support other regulatory and compliance matters as directed by the Head of Compliance.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the FX, OTC derivatives, or payments industry, or within a highly regulated financial services organization.
  2. Strong understanding of relevant ASIC regulatory guides, regulatory portals, AFSL licensing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  3. Detailed knowledge of legal, regulatory compliance, and operational risk issues.
  4. Ability to articulate and communicate risk and compliance issues across all levels and verticals within the business.
  5. Superior project management and time management skills to produce work in accordance with professional standards.
  6. Ability to assess complex activities to identify potential compliance and/or operational risks.
  7. Familiarity with the product development lifecycle and providing regulatory guidance (desirable).
  8. Experience handling internal and external dispute resolution processes, including communications with AFCA (desirable).
  9. Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss detailed technical requirements with IT and product development teams.
  10. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels.
