At Arise Christian College, our mission is to empower students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and those with a lower-level Autism diagnosis.

Our focus is on student learning and capabilities, with Literacy foundations and skills fundamental to their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality teaching practices, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy, based on an evidence-based quality teaching framework with explicit teaching foundations.
  • Develop and implement differentiated curriculum outcomes for students with diverse learning needs requiring extra assistance and reasonable adjustments up to and including a substantial or extensive level.
  • Implement NESA syllabi and teaching programs to support secondary students working on life skill curriculum outcomes (secondary teachers only).
  • Work collectively in building the capacity of the Primary team of educators.
  • Operate in a strengths-based framework and develop staff and student culture.
  • Be part of the implementation of a Christian Studies program deepening students' understanding of the Bible.

  • Teacher willing to learn, grow, and be coached in their understanding and delivery of quality Christian Education.
