The Role
The Backfill department is responsible for producing and delivering Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF) material required to support our underground operations. We have one of the biggest cement plants in Australia and a state-of-the-art Paste Plant approved for construction.
You will lead a small but high-performing team to produce fill material that meets technical requirements and our production schedule. This role is a key interface between coordinators and supervisors, delivery drivers, CAF Plant Technicians, maintainers, and various suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate a process plant or other heavy industry control system with ease.
- Look after your own wellbeing and be confident in speaking up when others put themselves in harm's way.
- Maintain and monitor a clean and safe operating environment.
- Understand and apply safe work procedures and prepare equipment for maintenance.
- Interpret and make decisions based on data within a busy environment.
- Be a proactive team member with confident communication skills.
- Finding and resolving technical faults is essential.
- Quality Assurance and current WHS legislation are important aspects of this role.
- Previous shift work experience is preferred.
