We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our WISE IDEA team as an Employment and Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering evidence-based interventions that assist individuals affected by mental illness to achieve their vocational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to support individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.
- Collaborate with support workers, carers, and families to provide effective support and guidance.
- Work with employers to provide accessible workplaces and promote inclusive employment practices.
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized plans to support participants in building key skills for work.
- Participate in feasibility testing and evaluation of interventions to ensure best practice support.
- Develop and adapt vocational, cognitive, and communication skills materials to support program delivery.
- Promote the work of WISE IDEA through network meetings, conference presentations, and other venues.
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Full Australian driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
