Job Summary

The Strategic Program Director, End of Life Care, Health Services Programs is responsible for leading the development and delivery of critical programs and projects that drive best practice, model of care pathways, clinical pathways, and service delivery models for healthcare programs in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee SA Health's involvement in significant cross-agency, cross-jurisdictional, and whole-of-government reform projects and policy development related to palliative care programs, voluntary assisted dying, advance care planning, and Veterans' wellbeing.
  • Direct multi-disciplinary teams of professionals, operational personnel, and administrative staff, and engage broadly with executive, management, and staff across the Division, the department, state, and Commonwealth Government agencies, and internal and external service providers.
  • Provide strategic policy advice to Department leadership, the Chief Executive, and Minister, and provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external advisory groups, steering groups, and working parties.
  • Facilitate the sharing of evidence-based innovations in clinical redesign, operational, and organisational practices.
Requirements
  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
  • Immunisation requirements apply to this position.
