Drill and Blast Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and improve drill and blast outcomes across our quarry business.

This critical role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of drill and blast activities across multiple quarry sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee drill and blast operations across multiple quarry sites.
  • Lead a small team of direct reports while building strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, blasting licenses, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage contracts, tenders, and negotiations for drill and blast services.
  • Support Operations Managers and Quarry Managers with strategies to optimize performance and meet business goals.
Requirements:
  • NSW Drill & Blast Shotfirer Licence (essential).
  • Relevant qualifications in mining, extractive industries, or explosives management.
  • Proven experience in drill and blast management within quarries, mining, or civil operations.
  • Strong understanding of NSW legislation, safety standards, and environmental requirements relating to blasting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams and influencing, negotiating, and driving performance.
