Job Description

The Northern Territory Government is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Relations Strategic Advisor to join their team in Katherine.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in operational Human Resources Management to take on a leadership role and provide high-level advice and support on workforce relations matters to Northern Territory Public Sector agencies.

As a subject matter expert, you will work closely with clients to provide a responsive, high-quality workforce relations advisory service and end-to-end support to ensure the successful delivery of business objectives.

You will be responsible for undertaking complex HR matters and management, employee complaints, discipline, disputes, medical and performance matters, and early intervention to achieve desired outcomes.

This role will make good use of your high-level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, as well as your ability to establish collaborative relationships and influence human resource practices.

The Department of Corporate and Digital Development provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government, enabling agencies to focus on their core business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-level advice and support on workforce relations matters to Northern Territory Public Sector agencies
  2. Work closely with clients to deliver business objectives and resolve complex HR matters
  3. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence human resource practices
What We Offer

We offer a competitive remuneration package consisting of:

  • $133,587 - $143,586 per annum, including salary $113,938 - $122,574
  • 11.5% superannuation
  • Six weeks recreational leave and three weeks personal leave
  • Up to 17.5% annual leave loading
  • Three days paid shutdown over Christmas
