Lead Data Architect

As a key member of our team at Databricks, you will play a crucial role in guiding the technical evaluation phase in a hands-on environment throughout the sales process.

You will work closely with our sales team to provide technical advice and support, while also collaborating with our product team to advocate for our customers' needs.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of big data technologies, including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and other relevant tools.
  • Design and implement architectures within public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Lead clients through evaluating and adopting Databricks, ensuring a seamless integration with their existing systems.
  • Author reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications to support customer success.
  • Engage with the technical community by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups to promote our platform and expertise.
  • Collaborate with our Account Executives to form successful relationships with clients, providing technical and business value throughout their assigned territory.

What we look for:

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across a variety of industry markets.
  • Understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with a focus on Data Engineering and Cloud Architecture.
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding.
  • Fluent coding experience in Python or Scala, with expertise in implementing Apache Spark.
  • Experience with Data Science and related technologies, such as R and various algorithms.
