About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Digital Fraud Analyst to join our team at Bank of Queensland. The primary objective of this role is to minimize the bank's non-lending losses and reduce exposure to digital fraud and scams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the bank's fraud detection systems to identify and investigate potential fraudulent activities, ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken to prevent losses.

You will also identify perpetrators or responsible parties and implement the most effective course of action for the recovery of losses. Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and timely records of all activities in line with bank and regulatory expectations is essential.

Responsibilities include collating investigations, preparing reports, and ensuring stakeholders are consulted where required. Ongoing maintenance of files and current records, as well as performing data entry, are also key duties.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in digital fraud investigations, branch operations, or a similar banking role. Alternatively, those studying or holding a degree in Criminology or Cybercrime are highly valued.

You should possess strong time management skills, an understanding of banking codes of practice and relevant legislation, and sound knowledge of bank products, processes, and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment are crucial. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
