State Theatre Company is one of Australia's leading theatre companies and the flagship company of South Australia.

We commission, perform and tour theatrical productions of new and existing, classic and contemporary Australian work.

Our mission is to create phenomenal, transformative and inclusive theatre that enriches South Australian culture.

The Executive Director will be responsible for achieving our artistic mission, building brand and profile, increasing financial viability, developing audiences, overseeing productions and developing talents of staff and artists.

We are seeking an energetic, collaborative and creative arts professional to help realise ambitions and expand how we make and share theatre.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a senior management role within the performing arts industry
  • Proven track record of delivering strategic growth and development initiatives
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
